National President Emeritus of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Otha Thornton, Jr. describes N. Michelle Sutton, as "A national authority in the family engagement community".
Michelle is a native of Columbus, Ohio and a graduate of Clark College in Atlanta, Georgia. Michelle has served on numerous family-based organizations, including the National PTA, the State of Ohio Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council, Ohio P.I.R.C. and various committees for the Columbus City School District. She is an author, national speaker, wife and mother and shares her parental wisdom, humor and mentoring skills to connect with diverse groups around the country.
Her sincere impact to help others has resulted in honors from First Lady Michelle Obama; former Columbus, Ohio Mayor Michael B. Coleman; Radio One; Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc; and the Columbus Board of Education. Michelle is a recipient of the Clark Atlanta University Alumni Community Service Award. She was also selected by the Small Business Administration (SBA) of Central Ohio, for a program designed to assist women developing faith-based businesses.
Michelle recently launched her latest books: Mommy's Monday Meditations: Praising God Morning, Noon or Night and The Christian Mommy's Workbook: 31 Ways to Recharge your Power, Praise and Purpose! Her inspirational messages air weekly on Hot Gospel 20 (HG20) with Eli Williams, a radio program that reaches listeners around the world. Michelle has been awarded a grant from ADAMH - Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County (Ohio) to do programs for Moms through the YMCA of Central Ohio. She has also been published on the editorial pages of Essence Magazine. Through her company, The Mentor 4 Moms, Michelle shares her parental knowledge and motivates families through workshops and social media across the country.
